Simply put, we love the whole idea of 3D printers.
As early adopters of both proprietary and open source 3D printers, there was much to like about both approaches. However, we also began to see a place for a product that combined the best of both approaches - using the open source hardware and software in a way that allows the user to take advantages of future developments that are made available through forums, etc., with the attention and thoroughness of product development that you can expect from a proprietary company.
Our goal is ship you a printer kit that has been improved over the "standard" open source design. By improved, we mean we've changed or added some features and tested them and know the parts we've chosen works well. Each individual product description provides more detailed information about those enhancements. We also go the extra mile to improve your build experience by providing a well written assembly manual, some special tools that might be needed, as well as the necessary steps to calibrate and get your printer making objects that are useful to you.
Want to modify or change part of one of our printers? No problem - in fact, we'd love to hear about it. This might mean you would do without some of the enhancements we've provided, but we believe you should be able to make that choice.
We also believe in being honest and fair with our customers. We are not Kickstarter funded, and we don't sell something we are not ready to ship. We are a new company, but we are staffed by friendly and experienced people.
If you have any further questions about us, please send us an email or give us a call, and we will be happy to answer them as best we can.
